Justin Brownlee Backs ArenaPlus’ ₱1 Billion Playoffs Prediction Challenge
Justin Brownlee believes basketball fans have nothing to lose by taking their shot at ArenaPlus’ Playoffs MVP: Battle for the Most Valuable Predictor.
The Gilas Pilipinas and PBA star encouraged Filipino fans to join the free-to-play prediction contest, which offers participants a chance to win a ₱1 billion grand prize by correctly forecasting the outcome of the NBA Playoffs.
“All fans, make sure you join the [Playoffs] MVP challenge. One billion pesos, [there’s] nothing to lose. So, make sure you join,” Brownlee said.
The campaign challenges participants to predict every playoff matchup, including the winners of each series and the number of games needed to advance, all the way to the eventual champion.
For Brownlee, the scale of the contest is what makes it stand out.
“Man, it’s huge. It’s bigger than the lottery. Especially if you’re a sports fan and you’ve been following Playoffs basketball, I think it’ll be very fun,” he said.
“I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of losers, of course, but that one special person, it’ll be really exciting and it’ll be a special moment.”
Inspired by the bracket prediction formats popularized by American college basketball tournaments, the ArenaPlus challenge puts fans’ basketball knowledge and instincts to the test through a free-to-play format.
Eligible participants receive two free prediction tickets, allowing them two chances to submit their playoff forecasts.
Beyond the grand prize, all valid entries are automatically included in raffle draws, with cash prizes available for additional winners.
The Playoffs MVP: Battle for the Most Valuable Predictor is part of ArenaPlus’ efforts to create more interactive experiences for basketball fans following the NBA postseason.
